About the position
The Multi-Functional Manufacturing Supervisor at Lockheed Martin is responsible for overseeing essential manufacturing functions within the Marietta facility. This leadership role involves managing a represented workforce across various fabrication areas, ensuring production goals are met on time, within budget, and with high quality. The supervisor will lead initiatives for continuous improvement and employee development, while maintaining a collaborative and efficient work environment.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a represented workforce across various manufacturing functions.
- Oversee recruitment, selection, training, and development of team members.
- Identify, analyze, and resolve both technical and personnel issues.
- Manage, track, and report on key metrics to ensure quality and schedule adherence.
- Guide the implementation of continuous improvement initiatives.
- Provide performance feedback and motivate employees.
Requirements
- Prior leadership/supervisory experience.
- Experience with Fabrication of Assembly Parts, Weld Applications, Heat Treat, Metal Finish, Paint &/or Parts Fabrication Processes.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience in leading in a union environment.
- Basic experience with utilizing military specifications in the manufacturing process.
- Understanding of lean manufacturing principles.
- Experience in prioritizing work centers and teams to maintain throughput standards.
