About The Position

The Multi-Functional Manufacturing Planner Manager will oversee the Production Planning and Control team, managing a team of 5-8 direct reports. This role involves MRP scheduling, manufacturing support functions, and ensuring controlled flows of materials to meet production requirements. The position requires strong leadership skills, experience in a union environment, and a focus on Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Business with a concentration in Supply Chain, Operations Management, or a related discipline.
• Strong experience with ERP and MRP systems, specifically SAP.
• Demonstrated leadership experience in managing teams and performance assessment.
• Ability to obtain a Secret clearance.

Nice To Haves

• Master's degree in Operations Management or related discipline.
• Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certification.
• ASCM Certified in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM).
• Knowledge of industry best practices for managing material flow and inventory control.
• Experience leading teams in a unionized environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage and staff a team of 5-8 direct reports, including salaried and hourly employees.
• Oversee MRP scheduling and manufacturing support functions associated with Production Planning and Control.
• Lead team members to meet critical schedules and resolve complex operational issues.
• Coordinate the development of contract proposals and estimates.
• Develop and administer budget, schedule, and performance standards.
• Create, monitor, and report on executive operations metrics.
• Plan, prepare, issue, and control production schedules and material requirements.
