About The Position
The Construction Superintendent position is a critical role within a multi-family construction project located in North Charleston, South Carolina. This position is with a growing company that has a strong commitment to its projects, boasting 12 years of dedicated work in the industry. The ideal candidate will be someone who values teamwork and thrives in a large company environment that maintains a family feel. The Superintendent will be responsible for supervising all construction activities, ensuring that quality control measures are adhered to throughout the project lifecycle. This includes overseeing the project team members who are directly involved in the construction process and ensuring that all finished goods meet the required quality standards. In this role, the Superintendent will be tasked with inspecting and evaluating new products for quality assurance, as well as providing valuable input on new product design and development. Coordination with various stakeholders, including Project Managers, Quality Control Specialists, Project Engineers, and other Project Supervisors, is essential to ensure the success of the project. The Superintendent must develop a comprehensive understanding of all aspects of construction activities, which encompasses Project Information Systems, estimating activities, field staff management, equipment operation, and other related tasks. The position requires a leader who can promote a culture of inclusion and diversity within the team. Excellent communication skills are necessary to effectively interact with employees, customers, vendors, and construction crews. The Superintendent must possess strong problem-solving abilities and be capable of prioritizing multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. Self-motivation and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team are crucial for success in this role. The Superintendent must also demonstrate excellent time management skills to navigate busy periods effectively, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and on schedule.
