The Multi-Facility Plant Operations Director is responsible for overseeing and coordinating all aspects of physical plant management, engineering, grounds, environmental services, security, and safety across multiple facilities within the market. This role involves managing construction and remodeling projects in alignment with organizational objectives and serving as a liaison between the medical centers and contracted personnel/vendors for facilities-related work. Multi-Facility Plant Operations Director is instrumental in presenting a positive image of the hospitals to patients, visitors, physicians, and the public, ensuring a safe, efficient, and well-maintained environment. The position requires strong leadership, strategic planning, and collaboration with hospital leadership to support the overall mission and vision of the healthcare system.

Requirements

• Basic HVAC, electrical, plumbing, boilers, hazardous material, and safety management experience required.
• A minimum of 3 years of hospital experience in Plant Operations preferred.
• Knowledge of hospital-associated codes and regulatory compliance related to healthcare facilities such as Joint Commission standards.
• Experience in management/supervision of all Facilities related departments (EVS, Security, Grounds, Biomed, etc.).
• Knowledge of facility buildings, equipment, and utilities.
• Valid state driver's license.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.

Nice To Haves

• College degree in Engineering field preferred.
• Professional certification such as Certified Healthcare Facility Manager (CHFM) or Certified Plant Engineer (CPE) is highly desirable.
