About The Position

The Multi craft Maintenance Technician will provide maintenance support to Operations and lead preventive maintenance work. Demonstrates willingness and ability to act promptly to meet mill needs in an environment where safety is always the lead consideration before performing any task. Grayling is a high performing self-directed team with above average earnings potential and full benefits. We are anticipating a pay range of $21.60 to $28.97 based on your level of skills, education, background, qualifications and experience.

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years industrial maintenance millwright experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to work rotating shifts.
• Proficient in 2-3 areas including electricity, electronics, PLC, logic, millwrighting, power transmission, welding, and hydraulics.
• Ability to read and understand blueprints and mechanical drawings.
• Ability to use maintenance tools.
• Good communications skills and team-oriented.

Nice To Haves

• Electrical skills are a plus.
• Associates degree.
• Good working knowledge of basic industrial electricity issues.
• Commitment to follow all unit electrical / maintenance practices.
• Ability to read electrical schematics preferred.
• Strong computer skills and fluency with standard Microsoft office products.
• Able to work with computerized maintenance systems for processes, stores, work orders, etc.

Responsibilities

• Provide maintenance support to Operations and lead preventive maintenance work.
• Manage the mill maintenance systems, specific area projects, process improvements and equipment operation.
• Fully cross train in all areas of maintenance including mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic for troubleshooting and preventive maintenance.
• Attend training seminars both onsite and offsite, as required.
• Utilize computerized maintenance systems.
• Demonstrate systemic troubleshooting decision making.
• Participate in meetings, team feedback, team building, and performance reviews.
