Job Description The Duro, Novolex (formerly B & H Bag) manufacturing facility in Katy, TX has an immediate opening for a Multi-Craft Industrial Maintenance Technician. Under the general direction of the Plant Maintenance Manager, the MT is responsible for supporting various mechanical and electrical related maintenance functions such as: installing and repairing manufacturing equipment onsite; troubleshooting and diagnosing production/process problems; performing preventative/predictive maintenance tasks on existing equipment. The manufacturing environment requires working on various production and facility systems/equipment related to plastic extrusion, converting, pelletizing, vacuum resin handling, chillers, air compressors, pumps, blowers, air conditioners, etc.
Requirements
- MUST HAVE High School diploma or equivalent.
- MUST HAVE 2+ years of work experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably related to Maintenance, Production, or Engineering.
- Must have an attention to detail, cooperative attitude, and sound work ethics.
- Must have strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Must have strong commitment to all aspects of safety.
- Must have full use of hands, arms and legs to reach in, around, over and under the equipment to facilitate diagnosis and/or repair of equipment.
- At times, there may include significant pushing, pulling, bending, lifting, walking, stooping, crouching, crawling, repetitive motion, ladder and stair use.
- Able to regularly lift and/or move up to 100lbs.
- Ability to use sight, sound, smell, and feel to diagnose variations in equipment performance.
Nice To Haves
- Forklift experience helpful, but not required.
