About The Position

Solventum is seeking Multi-Craft Maintenance Technician candidates to join our Purification & Filtration team in Columbia MO! We are pleased to report that Solventum has successfully completed the sale of its Purification & Filtration (P&F) business to Thermo Fisher Scientific Inc. (Thermo Fischer). This is a significant milestone for the P&F business, allowing for the strategic investment and resources needed to sustain growth and deliver customer solutions. Please note that this position is scheduled to transfer to a local subsidiary of Thermo Fisher in your country. However, the position is in a country where the transfer of employees to Thermo Fisher is delayed until a later date. Requirements

  • Possess, or in the last six (6) months of pursing, an associate degree in a mechanical, electrical or electronic field OR High School Diploma/GED AND 5 years of experience in at least 2 of the following fields: mechanical, electrical or electronic AND
  • In addition to the above requirements, the following are also required:
  • Ability to work overtime, weekends, or holidays as needed
  • Must be legally authorized to work in country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1B status).

  • Ability to work 2nd Shift (3:30pm-11:30pm; Monday – Friday)
  • Ability to work 3rd Shift (11:30pm – 7:30am; Sunday Night – Friday morning)
  • Exhibit a willingness to pursue necessary education and training to keep current with the technological requirements of the assignment.

Responsibilities

  • Observing all safety procedures while maintaining a clean and safe work area.
  • Performing work as directed by a Maintenance supervisor (or designee) and outlined by Shop Work Orders (SWOs).
  • Completing all assigned preventative maintenance tasks and correct any/all documentation errors.
  • Performing all electrical/electronic and mechanical calibrations with minimal assistance.
  • Installing, troubleshooting, repairing, and calibrating all electrical/electronic systems with minimal assistance.
  • Performing installations of air, water, and electrical with minimal guidance.
  • Assisting with all aspects of new equipment installations.
  • Managing all hazardous wastes in compliance with RCRA requirements, which includes labeling all hazardous material and ensuring proper materials are in each drum/container.
  • Possessing the ability to clearly speak, understand, and write in English to communicate effectively in both verbal and written contexts.
