About the department The Investment Performance & Attribution team delivers critical analysis and reporting on portfolio performance, attribution and risk. Team members collaborate with risk managers, investment analysts, and investment professionals to ensure accurate, timely insights. Working here means joining a technically skilled group focused on continuous improvement and supporting key business decisions related to Multi Asset attribution helping drive our strategic vision for the capability. How you will add value You will serve as a subject matter expert in performance and attribution analysis. You will validate attribution ensuring consistency with portfolio positioning and market movements. You will resolve discrepancies and address data issues affecting reporting and attribution. You will interpret attribution results across complex strategies with a clear understanding of expected sources of return. You will identify, investigate, and resolve attribution anomalies or errors, providing meaningful quality control and value-added validation to the attribution process. You will manage both routine processes and deliverables, along with ad-hoc requests from internal stakeholders and external clients. You will prepare, present, and confidently stand behind monthly performance attribution in discussions with portfolio managers and investment teams. You will act as a key liaison between investment teams and analytics, ensuring attribution outputs are accurate, transparent, and actionable. You will lead projects to support the team’s capabilities that will enhance and streamline current practices. You will re-engineer workflows for outdated/inefficient operations and propose innovative solutions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, math, or related field
  • 10+ years in performance attribution, risk analytics, or portfolio analytics
  • Experience with multiple attribution models and platforms (FactSet, Aladdin, BBG Port, MSCI, Barra, Axioma, or similar)
  • Ability to translate complex attribution results into clear, investment-relevant insights.
  • Ability to perform financial/mathematical calculations & analysis using MS Excel, Power BI, Alteryx, Python & relevant process automation tools.
  • Strong communication skills and the confidence to engage directly with portfolio managers and senior investment professionals.
  • Ability to work independently and under pressure
  • Skill in organizing, prioritizing, and coordinating tasks
  • Strong attention to detail

  • CFA or FRM pursuit is a plus

  • We expect the annual salary for this position to range between $155,000 - $175,000 depending on location and level of relevant experience, plus discretionary bonus.
