About The Position

MuleSoft Architect Key Responsibilities 1. Architecture & Design Design end-to-end API-led connectivity architecture (System, Process, Experience layers) for CMS integrations. Define integration patterns, data flows, and orchestration logic to support CMS core features (content ingestion, publishing, taxonomy, personalization, etc.). Architect API Gateway solutions using MuleSoft Anypoint API Manager, implementing policies for rate limiting, throttling, OAuth, SSO, and traffic control. Develop architectural diagrams, sequence flows, and logical/physical models. 2. API Development & Integration Lead the development of MuleSoft applications, RAML/OAS specifications, and reusable assets. Integrate CMS (e.g., Adobe AEM, Drupal, Sitecore, Headless CMS) with enterprise systems such as CRM, ERP, marketing platforms, and identity providers. Ensure adherence to MuleSoft and enterprise integration best practices. Oversee CI/CD pipeline configuration for Mule applications. 3. Security & Governance Implement API Governance registry standards, versioning, and lifecycle management. Create policies for authentication (OAuth 2.0, JWT, SAML), authorization, data protection, and compliance. Perform threat modeling and enforce Zero Trust and API security posture across environments. 4. Performance & Scalability Optimize Mule applications for high throughput and low latency. Conduct load testing, capacity planning, and performance tuning on CloudHub or Runtime Fabric. Lead production troubleshooting for API Gateway components and CMS integrations. 5. Cross-Functional Collaboration Partner with CMS product teams, developers, UX/UI teams, and platform engineering to enable seamless content delivery workflows. Work with DevOps to define infrastructure-as-code strategies for MuleSoft deployments. Communicate architectural decisions to stakeholders, both technical and non-technical. 6. Documentation & Standards Produce technical documentation, architectural blueprints, API catalogs, and operational playbooks. Establish coding standards, reusability frameworks, and documentation templates for APIs. Required Skills & Experience: Technical Skills 8+ years in integration architecture; 4+ years hands-on MuleSoft Anypoint Platform experience. Strong expertise with: API Manager, API Gateway, Runtime Manager Anypoint Studio, CloudHub, RPA, DataWeave 2.0 Proficiency with integration patterns (sync/async, event-driven, batch). Experience with CMS platforms (AEM, Drupal, Sitecore, Contentful, etc.). Strong understanding of: REST, SOAP, Webhooks RAML/OAS Jenkins/Azure DevOps/GitHub Actions Kubernetes or Runtime Fabric Cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP) Security & Compliance Deep knowledge of: OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, JWT, SAML API policies (rate limiting, threat protection, client ID enforcement) TLS/mutual TLS Experience implementing enterprise governance models.  Soft Skills: Excellent communication and leadership abilities. Strong problem-solving, analytical thinking, and solution-oriented mindset. Ability to mentor developers and guide team members.   Preferred Certifications: MuleSoft Certified Integration Architect – Level 1 MuleSoft Certified Platform Architect – Level 1 AWS/Azure Architect certifications (nice to have) CMS-specific certifications depending on platform   Nice-to-Have Experience Exposure to headless or composable CMS ecosystems. Experience with API analytics and observability tools. Knowledge of microservices architecture and event brokers (Kafka, Solace, etc.) Residency Requirements: Candidate must be US Citizen OR Green Card to obtain Public Trust clearance and must have lived in the United States for at least three (3) out of the last five (5) years. Requirements

  • 8+ years in integration architecture; 4+ years hands-on MuleSoft Anypoint Platform experience.
  • Strong expertise with:  API Manager, API Gateway, Runtime Manager Anypoint Studio, CloudHub, RPA, DataWeave 2.0
  • Proficiency with integration patterns (sync/async, event-driven, batch).
  • Experience with CMS platforms (AEM, Drupal, Sitecore, Contentful, etc.).
