  • Collect drilling cuttings from the shaker for analysis.
  • Analyze cuttings under a microscope for lithology, mineralogy, and hydrocarbons.
  • Update logging software with data obtained from analysis.
  • Monitor gas levels for over-pressured formations.
  • Perform routine equipment maintenance and calibrations.
  • Provide daily updates to the Operations Geologist.
  • Ability to work 3-4 weeks straight with normal shift rotations.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to self-manage and be reliable.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Basic computer proficiency.
  • Associate's degree or higher in Geology, Earth Sciences, or Engineering, or prior experience in mud logging.
  • Experience as a sample catcher (1 year preferred).
