MTSS Coordinator POSITION SUMMARY: Under the supervision of the Lead Teacher, the MTSS Coordinator is responsible for serving as a school team member and utilizing expertise, advocacy, and collaboration to promote student success, coordinate Multi Tiered Systems of Support interventions and educational services, and respond to needs of students. In collaboration with the school team, orchestrates supportive services and referrals that address the personal/social development needs of students primarily in an academic environment to support academic performance. The goal for each student is to graduate from high school and to be prepared for work and postsecondary education. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES * Monitor student attendance data, performance data and behavior/academic intervention data to identify concerning trends, drive MTSS and mitigate disengagement and dropouts. * Analyzes student benchmark and classroom data and coordinates with student mentors to support academic progress. * In support of the MTSS structure, creates and maintains confidential program records and organizational systems. Tracks student risk factors associated with dropping out to including attendance and truancy data, discipline data, and academic achievement data. * Uses student data to evaluate student needs and develop schedules, and, in collaboration with Lead Teacher, establish Master Schedules * Facilitates transitional skills development to meet the individual personal, social, and academic needs of students through: Life Skills and ECAP activities, to include: College admissions processes, Resume development and Career pathways exploration. * In collaboration with team develop College and Career Fairs, Volunteer and Employability credit, dual enrollment, Leadership development, (student) and Certification and licensing support. * Assist in designing and implementing developmentally appropriate and academic, career, and social-emotional- oriented individual and group activities/sessions to meet student needs and school goals. * As key member of the MTSS Team: provide direct services and consistent involvement with student matters that are personal, behavioral, academic, and/or triggered by external/internal factors. * Plans, teaches, and monitors social/emotional/behavioral and academic interventions for increased achievement of students. * Provides and participates in crisis intervention and helps to identify and support school-wide prevention efforts. * Monitors students' needs and consults and collaborates with teachers, staff, families, and other educational/community resources to meet the needs of students in the educational setting. * Connects families with appropriate community and government resources and recommendations (i.e., transportation, insurance, mental health, food, service providers, etc.) * Participates in professional development to improve knowledge and skills. * Cultivates and promotes a culture of wellness and self-care. * Ensures proper record keeping of confidential documents is adhered to. * Ensures services are in compliance with all pertinent federal, state and local statutes and regulations, and maintains and promotes cultural competence. * Inform appropriate administrators if information is received that has implications regarding staff/teachers/administrators, or in serious incidents may warrant disciplinary measures and/or reporting to authorities. * Other duties as assigned within the scope of the job. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: * Bachelor's degree in related field. One (1) year prior work experience in education, youth or behavioral health services. * Ability to obtain and maintain an IVP Fingerprint clearance card. * Valid Arizona driver's license and ability to meet company insurance requirements. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: * Master's degree in related field: Social Work, Psychology or human services specialty. * Bilingual (English/Spanish) PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: * Must be able to see/read a computer monitor screen. * Must be able to lift and carry five (5) pounds. * Must be able to travel as needed.
