Assist in the development, testing, automation, integration and release efforts of software and hardware associated activities.

  • Responsible for the integration and maintenance of a test rack configuration with regards to the systems installation.
  • Proficient in programming skills.

  • Work with the development teams to devise automation strategy.
  • Ensure all testing is properly documented, tracked to requirements, reviewed, and submitted.
  • Participate in all efforts in the testing and regression testing of software/hardware.
  • Create test procedures based-on system requirements and/or design descriptions.
  • Test automation using appropriate frameworks.
  • Proficient in creating a detail test plan with proper links to requirements.
  • Conducting in-depth troubleshooting and analyze root cause of issues in any system.
  • Proficiency at identifying and communicating defects in a manner that most effectively and efficiently gets the defect addressed.
  • Document clear, concise, and relevant steps to reproduce the bug as well as relevant information for context of why this bug matters.
  • Identify and be able to defend the proper priority and severity for every defect report both in writing and verbally.
  • Troubleshooting and analyze root cause of any system anomalies/discrepancies in hardware and/or software.
  • Work with the scrum team to provide test timeline, risk assessment, dependencies, and mitigation plan.
  • Works with the field support team to address field issues and escaped defects.
  • Coordinates feature discussion meetings for an assigned project in which a given feature is impacted.
  • Interprets detailed user stories from passenger and crew perspectives for multiple features and applications in an agile development environment.
  • Provide feedback in retrospectives and lessons learned discussions at the end of a project.
  • Possess solid writing and communication skills.
  • Provide weekly report on development, integration, and test status.
  • Identify and communicate areas of escalation.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer sciences, Computer Engineering, Electronics & Communication or Software Engineering.
  • 3+ years of experience in coding, developing test methodologies, writing test plans, creating test cases, and debugging.
  • Solid background and understanding of Unix and Linux OS.
  • Working knowledge of Agile, Scrum, Kanban processes, and methodology.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • A solid understanding and hands on experience in programming using one or more of the following - C, C++, Java, Python, Golang.
  • Proven experience in software development under Linux.
  • Experience working with CI/CD pipelines and version control systems (e.g., Git).
  • Working knowledge of web technology including HTML, CSS, JS, React, PHP and database.
  • Hands on experience with at least one scripting language such as Bash, Python, JavaScript, PHP.
  • Experience developing, deploying, and maintaining applications on AWS infrastructure.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new tools, languages, and technologies.
  • Good knowledge of networking concepts (VLANs, 7-layer OSI model, firewall/iptables, routing).
  • Adept in standard test practices and methodologies.
  • Working in a fast-paced environment with user-centered, iterative design and development process.
  • Effective communication and documentation skills.
  • Experience writing test cases.
  • Experience with issue management system (JIRA, or other issue management system).
  • Experience using Test Automation tools and frameworks such as Squish, Appium, Pytest.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to travel to domestic or international locations as required, up to 5% of the time.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds. Majority of time spent at test rack (75%) which includes standing, lifting, bending, twisting, and stooping.
  • Paid time off: Exempt Salaried employees receive flexible paid time off. This means that there is no fixed number, range, or limit to the amount of Personal and Vacation Days that may be taken for exempt employees. Non-exempt hourly employees accrue 14 vacation days per year + 7 sick days + 3 personal days. Accrual rate increases with tenure. All employees receive 11 company paid holidays per year. We also close our offices at the corporate level in the U.S. between Christmas and New Year. For operational positions that are expected to work on holidays, we provide additional compensation for hours worked.
