Requirements

  • Education – Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or a closely related field of study.
  • Experience – 5 years of post-baccalaureate experience in job offered, or any related Electrical Engineering job titles.
  • Requires 5 years of experience in debugging electrical circuits that operate at frequencies above 3GHz.
  • Writing and debugging low level code such as C++, or Java.
  • Reading and understanding board level schematics which operate at Radio Frequencies.
  • Working with cross-functional teams.
  • Analyzing data using tools such as Excel and Python or R.
  • Problem solving electrical failures.
  • Understanding electrical engineering at frequencies above 10GHz.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, optimize, and sustain Test Equipment & Process capability to meet operations goals.
  • Develop hardware circuits and software code to test semiconductors that function in the frequency range of 10GHz to 90GHz.
  • Work with integrated circuit designers to design test board schematics and test instrumentation software for verifying the functional capability of the radio frequency circuit.
  • Design and install sophisticated testing equipment that operates at radio frequencies above 10GHz and performs product testing and analysis to maintain quality levels and minimize defects and failure rates.
  • Analyze test data to verify the operation of tester, in a manufacturing environment, meets the specifications of the circuit designer to screen out defective product.
  • Collaborate with test equipment and circuit board supplier representatives on quality problems, ensure that effective corrective actions are implemented and contribute to supplier quality improvement programs.
  • Up to 5% international travel to transfer semiconductor test hardware to test service suppliers in the Far East.
  • Perform all activities in a safe and responsible manner and support all Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements, and programs.
