About The Position

Franciscan Health Dyer is seeking a part-time MT/MLT/Laboratory Scientist to work 20 hours per week during the midnight shift. The position requires weekend and/or holiday rotation. The role is part of a highly reliable scientific organization committed to advancing health, wellness, and continuity of care in the communities served. The laboratory network is one of the largest in the Midwest, serving 32 hospitals and multiple physician offices.

Requirements

• For MLT: Associate's degree in laboratory science or medical laboratory technology from an accredited institution.
• For MT: Bachelor's degree in medical laboratory science/medical technology from an accredited college or university, or a Bachelor's degree in chemical, physical, or biological sciences.
• At least 1 year of pertinent full-time clinical laboratory experience or training preferred.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for specimen processing, test performance, and reporting test results.
• Perform waived, moderate, and high complexity tests as authorized by the Director.
• Report results of all tests performed according to established procedures.
• Participate fully in all quality control procedures.
• Comply with quality assurance and quality management standards within the department.
• Perform specimen collection as necessary.
