About The Position

Franciscan Health Dyer is seeking a dedicated individual for a position that involves specimen processing, test performance, and reporting test results. The role includes performing waived, moderate, and high complexity tests as authorized by the Director, ensuring compliance with established procedures. The individual will also participate in quality control procedures and adhere to quality assurance and management standards set by the department and relevant agencies. Additionally, specimen collection may be required as part of the responsibilities.

Requirements

• Associates degree in a laboratory science or medical laboratory technology from an accredited institution for MLT.
• Bachelor degree in medical laboratory science/medical technology from an accredited college or university for MT.
• Alternatively, a Bachelor degree in chemical, physical or biological sciences.
• At least 1 year of pertinent full-time clinical laboratory experience or training preferred.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for specimen processing, test performance, and reporting test results.
• Perform waived, moderate, and high complexity tests as authorized by the Director.
• Report results of all tests performed according to established procedures.
• Participate fully in all quality control procedures.
• Comply with quality assurance and quality management standards.
• Perform specimen collection as necessary.
