About The Position

The MSW (Master of Social Work) professional plays a critical role in providing comprehensive social services to individuals, families, and communities across diverse settings in the United States. This position focuses on assessing client needs, developing tailored intervention plans, and advocating for resources to improve overall well-being and social functioning. The MSW will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to address complex social, emotional, and environmental challenges faced by clients. Through direct counseling, case management, and community outreach, the role aims to empower clients to overcome barriers and achieve sustainable positive outcomes. Ultimately, the MSW contributes to enhancing social justice and equity by supporting vulnerable populations and promoting systemic change within the community.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited institution.
  • Valid state licensure or certification as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or equivalent.
  • Demonstrated experience in clinical social work, case management, or related social services.
  • Strong knowledge of social work principles, ethics, and relevant federal and state regulations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with diverse populations.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working with specific populations such as children, elderly, veterans, or individuals with disabilities.
  • Familiarity with trauma-informed care and evidence-based therapeutic modalities.
  • Bilingual abilities or proficiency in languages other than English.
  • Experience with grant writing, program development, or community organizing.
  • Advanced training or certification in specialized areas such as substance abuse counseling or mental health.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough psychosocial assessments to identify client needs and strengths.
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with clients and relevant stakeholders.
  • Provide counseling and crisis intervention services to support mental health and emotional well-being.
  • Coordinate with healthcare providers, legal entities, and community organizations to facilitate access to resources.
  • Maintain detailed case records and documentation in compliance with legal and ethical standards.
  • Advocate for clients’ rights and access to services within institutional and community settings.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to ensure integrated and holistic care delivery.
  • Engage in community outreach and education to raise awareness about social issues and available support services.
