Child & Family Support Services (CFSS) is accepting applications for Full-time MST Therapist in Maricopa County. Multisystemic Therapy (MST) is an evidence-based therapeutic model designed to provide a community-based treatment approach for the families of juveniles (ages 12 to 17) who are involved, or at risk of being involved, in the juvenile justice system. Our goal is to empower families and youth to build relationships and improve overall functioning through this family-oriented treatment approach. CFSS provides paid Multisystemic Therapy Training to qualified candidates in this role. Interested persons may locate additional information about this treatment model at mstservices.

  • Conduct assessments and provide treatment to families and youth.
  • Collaborate with families, youth, and community agency staff.
  • Function as part of an MST team and participate in weekly team supervision and consultation.
  • Provide after-hours support to youth and families through a rotating on-call schedule.
  • Coordinate behavioral health services, medical care, education, placement, finances, and socialization services for children and families with intense/complex needs.
  • Create support plans that capture the strengths, needs, and culture of the family.
  • Assist families in securing needed community resources and identifying natural and informal supports.
  • Interact professionally with stakeholders such as Division of Child Safety (DCS), Division of Developmental Disabilities (DDD), juvenile probation, and Direct Service Providers (DSP).
  • Utilize strong writing skills for electronic documentation.
  • Adapt to flexible scheduling and work hours to accommodate assigned families' needs.
  • Drive throughout the county and work within the homes and communities of the families supported.
  • Must be 21 years or older.
  • Valid Arizona Driver's License with an acceptable 39 month driving record.
  • Reliable transportation, including proof of Insurance.
  • Candidates are required to submit a negative drug test.
  • Obtain an Arizona DPS Level One Fingerprint Clearance Card.
  • Complete Adult, Child, and Infant CPR and First Aid training.
  • Related Master's degree or Licensed a Plus.
  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field with extensive behavioral health experience will be considered.
