The Role We are seeking a MSP Account Manager who enjoys building trusted client relationships while translating technology into business value. This role blends technical understanding, client advocacy, and strategic planning—you will not be expected to “know everything,” but you will be supported by a collaborative engineering and leadership team. As a MSP Account Manager you’ll act as a long-term partner to your clients, helping them align technology with their goals while ensuring a positive, responsive service experience.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in an MSP or IT services environment
  • Experience managing client relationships and technical escalations
  • Strong understanding of networking, servers, cloud services, and cybersecurity concepts
  • Ability to explain technical topics clearly to business stakeholders
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Comfortable working in a hybrid environment (Florham Park, NJ)
  • Experience in IT services, MSP environments, or technical account management
  • Comfort communicating with both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Strong organizational and follow-through skills
  • Ability to prioritize, problem-solve, and collaborate across teams
  • Curiosity, accountability, and a client-first mindset

Nice To Haves

  • Experience as a MSP Account Manager, vCIO, or similar client-facing role
  • Familiarity with MSP tools such as: ConnectWise Manage NinjaOne (RMM) CloudRadial Quoter
  • Relevant certifications (Microsoft, CompTIA, Cisco, etc.)

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned client accounts
  • Build trusted relationships with business owners, executives, and stakeholders
  • Translate technical concepts into clear, business-focused recommendations
  • Coordinate with internal service, project, and security teams
  • Participate in QBRs, roadmap planning, and proactive account reviews (In Person w/Client)
  • Advocate for client needs while maintaining alignment with service standards
