About The Position

The MSIPP CONNECT Undergraduate Intern position at Pacific Northwest National Laboratory (PNNL) offers undergraduate students an opportunity to engage in research and programmatic support within the National Security Directorate. This internship focuses on national security, energy, and science, particularly in areas such as nuclear nonproliferation, law, and policy. Interns will work on multi-disciplinary teams, contributing to significant projects that advance laboratory mission activities while gaining valuable experience in a research-based environment.

Requirements

• Candidates must have a high school diploma / GED or higher.
• Candidates must be degree-seeking undergraduate students enrolled at an accredited college or university.
• Candidates must be taking at least 6 credit hours and have an overall cumulative GPA of 2.50.
• Experience with legal and policy research related to international relations is strongly preferred.

Nice To Haves

• Enrolled in a Bachelor's program at the University of Texas at San Antonio (UTSA).
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including cross-cultural communication.
• Experience performing open-source research.
• Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Knowledgeable in at least one nonproliferation domain such as nuclear security or arms control.
