About The Position

MS365 Engineer Senior provides senior engineering and operational support for Microsoft 365 services under the SEC ISS contract, enabling secure and resilient collaboration across the SEC enterprise. This role designs, implements, and administers Microsoft 365 GCC (G5) capabilities including Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Teams, and Microsoft Entra ID to support SEC OIT modernization goals. The position leads automation and migration efforts, improves platform performance, and enforces zero-trust-aligned security and compliance controls. The engineer partners with infrastructure, cybersecurity, and service delivery teams to resolve complex issues and sustain SLA-based service outcomes in alignment with PWS 3.5.8 for Microsoft 365 GCC services and PWS 4.2.2 for service-level performance outcomes.

Requirements

  • This position is restricted to U.S. citizens only.
  • Applicants must not hold dual citizenship with any other country to be eligible for work under this contract.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain SEC Public Trust.
  • Bachelors in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field and 4+ years of experience in Microsoft 365 administration and engineering roles.
  • In lieu of degree, additional years experience required.
  • Strong expertise in Microsoft 365 services, PowerShell scripting, and Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD) identity management.
  • Experience delivering security, compliance, and migration initiatives in large-scale enterprise environments.
  • Microsoft 365 services administration and engineering (Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Teams)

Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and manage Microsoft 365 services and solutions, including Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Teams, and related collaboration workloads.
  • Administer tenant configuration, policies, service settings, and lifecycle updates across Microsoft 365 GCC (G5) environments.
  • Monitor platform health, availability, and performance using Microsoft 365 Admin Center and approved enterprise monitoring tools.
  • Provide advanced troubleshooting and Tier 2/3 escalation support for complex service incidents and outages.
  • Engineer and support Microsoft Entra ID services for identity and access management across Microsoft 365 workloads.
  • Implement and maintain secure identity lifecycle processes, authentication, authorization, and directory governance controls.
  • Ensure Microsoft 365 services align with SEC security requirements and federal compliance frameworks, including FISMA and FedRAMP-aligned controls.
  • Support identity and access policy enforcement, audit readiness, and continuous compliance activities.
  • Develop and maintain PowerShell automation for provisioning, administration, reporting, and operational consistency.
  • Plan and execute Microsoft 365 migration and modernization activities in large-scale enterprise environments with minimal user disruption.
  • Optimize Microsoft 365 configurations for scalability, reliability, security, and operational efficiency.
  • Produce and maintain technical documentation, runbooks, architecture artifacts, and change implementation records.
  • Coordinate incident, problem, and change management activities with SEC service delivery, EOC, and infrastructure teams.
  • Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions to reduce recurring issues and improve service reliability.
  • Contribute to SLA metric reporting, operational dashboards, and continuous service improvement actions.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to align Microsoft 365 capabilities with mission needs, user productivity, and compliance objectives.
