In your new role as a cyber security professional, you will protect our customer’s most sensitive data and complex systems from all forms of threats including cyber-attacks, insider threats, rogue network devices, and malicious software and applications. You will work with a team of like-minded professionals to share and collaborate upon your ideas to improve the cybersecurity infrastructure, architecture, and configuration deployments. Your ideas and contributions will matter. This is a contingent position based upon customer approval. SkyePoint Decisions is seeking a detail-oriented Microsoft Purview Administrator for our customer, to lead the configuration, testing, and management of data governance and compliance policies within the Microsoft Purview portal. This role involves developing and testing policies, managing role-based access controls, and ensuring secure and efficient data handling across the organization. This position is based on-site at either the Washington, DC or Beltsville, MD office, with occasional travel between the two locations.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Security, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• Must have 3+ years of hands-on experience with Microsoft Purview administration including testing, developing and testing policy, creating roles and assigning user roles.
• Must be able to commute to Beltsville, MD or Washington, DC for full-time onsite work.
• Experience with Microsoft 365 compliance solutions.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent analytical, documentation, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• US Citizenship with a Secret clearance with the ability to obtain a Top Secret clearance.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and test data governance and compliance policies.
• Validate policy effectiveness through simulations and reporting tools.
• Create, modify, and manage role groups and custom roles within the Purview portal.
• Assign users and groups to appropriate roles.
• Administer and configure Microsoft Purview and integrated Microsoft 365 services.
• Monitor system performance and respond to incidents.
• Document configurations, procedures, and access control strategies.
