About The Position

The Maintenance Technician will work at Cape Air’s Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul Facillity.

Requirements

• Must be able to perform moderately strenuous physical tasks which include bending, stooping, kneeling and working overhead
• Must be able to lift 70 lbs.
• Must have a well rounded knowledge of sheet metal tooling, equipment, materials and processes
• Must be goal oriented, have an exceptional attention to detail, and must work well in team situations
• Aircraft maintenance work experience, required
• Must exhibit exceptional knowledge of Cape Air and must embody the Cape Air MOCHA HAGoTDI spirit

Nice To Haves

• General Aviation or twin Cessna work history, preferred
• A&P, preferred

Responsibilities

• Conformity inspections
• Aircraft modifications
• Read, understand, and apply blueprints and basic sheet metal repair criteria
• Work with or without established blueprints to drill, dimple, file, grind, trim, countersink, install aircraft structural assemblies and subassemblies, sand, paint and seal
• Participate in department/base meetings, as required by Manager
• Conduct OJT with new-hires, as assigned by Base Manager
• Maintain work area in a clean and orderly condition
• Additional duties as assigned
