About The Position

Global Engine Maintenance LLC, established in 2009, is an FAA-accredited company specializing in the maintenance and repair of CFM56-3, -5B, and -7B engines. We are a high-performance FAA 145/EASA Certified Repair Station, providing innovative solutions and exceptional customer service to airlines and aviation organizations worldwide. The Stockroom Clerks report to the Stockroom Lead. The Stockroom Clerk may delegate duties; however, such delegation does not relieve the Stockroom Clerks of overall responsibility. Responsibilities of this position require a basic knowledge of inventory control. The Stockroom Clerk is involved in the operations of the stockroom, inventory control, purchasing, and shipping and receiving of parts.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Minimum 1–2 years of experience in inventory, warehouse, or stockroom operations — preferably in aviation or MRO environment.
  • Good written and verbal English communication skills.
  • Basic knowledge of inventory control.

Responsibilities

  • Identify, control, segregate, and maintain all stock and tools to a serviceable, unserviceable, or nonconforming category as designated by the Director of Quality Control.
  • Preserve all articles or parts while carried in inventory, including parts that are subject to deterioration and shelf-life specifications.
  • Identify and control all shelf-life items as well as life cycle limited parts from inventory.
  • Notify expired material to the Director of Quality Control and dispose of items correctly.
  • Maintain records of parts traceability with copies of purchase orders. All materials must be traceable to an FAA approved manufacturing procedure, as described in FAA Advisory Circular 20-62.
  • Liaison between the Accounting Department and the departments of Quality Control, Maintenance, and Planning and Materials regarding financial matters.
  • Carry out monthly cycle counts and reconciling all discrepancies by making the necessary adjustments in the system.
  • Generate end-of-the-month inventory reports (Locations, Quantities and Values) for the Accounting and Supply Chain department.
  • Interface with Accounting and Supply Chain to reflect accurate inventory pricing.
  • If needed perform physical inventory count to prepare for inventory audits.
  • Maintain recordkeeping for scrapped items and dispose accordingly.
  • Tag and label materials with part numbers, serial numbers, and shelf locations.
  • Issue parts, hardware, and tools to production personnel per approved work orders or pick lists.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and FOD-free stockroom environment.
  • Support shipping and packing functions as needed.
  • Be familiar with the company’s safety policies, procedures, and tools relevant to their responsibilities.
  • Understand and use the confidential employee reporting system.
  • Complete all required training and maintain competence for assigned tasks.
  • Use proper tools, equipment, and approved technical data to perform work safely.
  • Wear and properly use required personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Immediately report all emergencies, incidents, accidents, and identified hazards to their supervisor or manager, as well as to the Quality/Safety Department.
  • Communicate safety-related information that could help prevent mishaps or improve operational safety.
