Argenta is currently looking to fill the role of MRO Inventory Specialist at our Shawnee, KS location. The MRO Inventory Specialist responsibilities will include physically maintaining the MRO Storeroom parts inventory and processing purchase orders in SAP for stocked and non-stocked materials. The MRO Inventory Specialist works with the PM Coordinator and with Technical Services and Operations team members regarding inventoried and non-inventoried parts and materials, equipment parts bill-of-materials, and verification of like-for-like parts. Detailed documentation skills and customer-based interpersonal communication skills are used in maintaining the MRO spare parts inventory and the MRO Storeroom.

  • Obtain quotes and create PO requisitions for stocked parts, non-stocked materials, and outside services. Process part orders and track their arrival until parts are received. Get parts from the Receiving Dept., perform Goods Received in SAP, and physically stock parts.
  • Create and manage SAP Material numbers and equipment Bill of Materials (equipment specific parts lists) in SAP.
  • Work with Procurement regarding purchase orders and supplier accounts. Contact for Accounts Payable regarding invoicing.
  • Follow all applicable cGMPs and SOPs related to Safety, Quality, CMMS, and the MRO Storeroom.
  • Work directly with the PM Coordinator, Technical Services, Operations, and QA for activities involving the procurement parts, supporting GMP like-for-like parts verification, and incorporating critical spare parts for new equipment into SAP.
  • Maintain the Storeroom by performing cycle counts, keeping parts organized in their designated storage locations, and keeping the area clean and maintained.
  • Printing labels and labelling parts for stock following processes to maintain standardized parts identification.
  • Ship and receive parts or equipment sent out for repair.
  • Maintain non-stock inventory of common use parts and supplies.
  • Perform these and other requested tasks as trained and assigned in a safe and GMP compliant manner.
  • 2+ years of accredited courses/certified training in manufacturing inventory management.
  • Experience in a Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) or standard operating procedures (SOP) environment.
  • Experience using a CMMS for preventive maintenance activities.
  • 3+ years of industry experience in inventory management and/or procurement of parts for manufacturing equipment.
  • Must have excellent organization and interpersonal skills and demonstrate ability to work effectively in both individual and team environments.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills in English required.
  • Must be able to work overtime based on production schedule and as requested.
  • Good personal computer skills, including the use of SAP, Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel required. Ability to navigate the Web to search and find parts and company contact information as needed.
  • Must have the aptitude to perform the following actions:
  • Calculating math problems
  • Technical reading and writing at a high school level.
  • The ability to relate parts (actual part or in a drawing) to production machinery.
  • The ability to read/interpret/follow instructions regarding workplace documentation such as SOPs, operator manuals and work instructions.
  • Using both U.S. and E.U. formats of equipment drawings, bill-of-materials, and parts lists.
