About The Position

The MRO Inventory Specialist at dsm-firmenich is responsible for managing the receipt, inspection, and processing of MRO supplies and parts. This role ensures accurate documentation and organization of materials to support maintenance and repair activities, thereby minimizing downtime and enhancing operational efficiency. Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required
• 1-3 years of experience in inventory management within an industrial MRO environment
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks effectively
• Exceptional organizational skills with a keen attention to detail
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications; SAP knowledge required (or to be learned within the first year)

Responsibilities

• Efficiently receive, inspect, and verify MRO supplies, parts, and materials against purchase orders.
• Accurately record received items in SAP, update stock levels, and maintain documentation for audits.
• Inspect materials for quality compliance and report any issues to procurement and quality control.
• Organize and store materials properly, assist with inventory counts, and maintain a clean, safe storage area.
• Coordinate with procurement, inventory, and maintenance teams to ensure timely parts availability.
• Resolve discrepancies and returns by communicating with vendors and procurement teams.
