The position involves planning and purchasing assigned products or materials in a timely manner to achieve cost and inventory objectives while minimizing risk for the organization. Responsibilities include forecasting demand, managing safety stock quantities, and monitoring facility inventory levels. The role requires negotiating vendor relationships, terms, and contracts, as well as becoming knowledgeable about all products sold by Prinsco and understanding the various markets in which the company participates. Proficiency in MS D365 software for purchasing and inventory management is essential, along with determining material requirements and requesting cycle counts to verify inventory as needed. The individual will also serve as a back-up in procuring other assigned products or materials.
