About The Position

AZEK is seeking an MRO Clerk to undertake the responsibility to learn under the direction of the MRO Supervisor. The MRO Clerk is responsible for assisting with our E-Maintenance program, maintaining the storeroom, achieving inventory goals, staying within budget, and maintaining inventory metrics. This role also orders parts and receives incoming parts and materials.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED, required; advanced education and/or related certification(s), a plus.
  • One to three years' experience in a similar position; inventory control or stockroom a plus.
  • Demonstrate understanding of storeroom and inventory processes.
  • Ability to be proactive: take initiative, make suggestions, follow up with limited supervision.
  • Computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook required.
  • Strong decision making, analytical skills and proven ability to work cross-functionally.
  • Good analytical skills: observation, attention to detail, prioritization, and problem solving.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills with the ability to communicate to a wide range of audiences.
  • Must be self-directed and motivated and able to multi-task in fast-paced, 24/7 manufacturing environment.
  • Work schedule flexibility, with advance notice, to accommodate needs of the business.
  • Background in manufacturing systems in dynamic fast-paced manufacturing environment; Working knowledge of extrusion process, twin screw setup, blending system a plus.
  • Proven ability to work with cross-functional teams.
  • Proven experience in inventory control or stockroom or similar role.
  • Highly effective multi-tasker; resourceful with a "get-it-done, can-do" attitude.
  • Able to impact and effect positive change with a flexible, open-minded, positive approach.
  • Blueprint, equipment manual or parts diagram reading knowledge.
  • Knowledge of health & safety practices and OSHA regulations.
  • Excellent at critical thinking
  • Strong technology skills (MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook, JDE, CMMS)
  • Strong values and ethics

Nice To Haves

  • Enrollment in advanced education and/or related certification a plus
  • Experience with industrial equipment a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Receive and verify incoming parts and supplies in eMaintenance (inventory control system) and storeroom.
  • Review disposition forms, update quantities and place orders when stock falls below minimum values in inventory control system. Monitor inventory of critical parts.
  • Physically stock all inventoried items per storeroom stocking locations and min/max levels.
  • Create record for new stock items in eMaintenance.
  • Complete three-way match (invoice, receipt, and purchase order) in system.
  • Audit inventory (cycle counting) and reconcile discrepancies.
  • Pull parts for the PM team and replenish stock as needed.
  • Contact vendors via email or phone for quotes for parts.
  • Negotiate the best pricing, delivery, and stocking arrangements with vendors as possible.
  • Maintain 6S behaviors and organization within tool crib.
  • Perform minor preventative maintenance, maintenance, and repair activities.
  • Operate in a manner that provides value to the team.
  • Perform additional duties as needed and/or assigned by supervision/management.
  • Develop and build a strong partnership with the plant maintenance organization.
  • Oversee and enforce good record-keeping practices (be it pen and paper or CMMS software like e-Maint).
  • Generate work orders, enter comprehensive job details, and assign work to qualified team members.
  • Keep an eye on materials and spare parts inventory.
  • Help with the development of maintenance procedures and proactive maintenance programs like preventative maintenance.
  • Actively participate in projects (e.g. CMMS, JDE, Inventory).
  • Actively discuss staff-related challenges with senior management.
  • Help with day-to-day cleaning and organization.
