MRO CLERK II SUMMARY The MRO II oversees inventory, control, and distribution of parts, consumables, tools, equipment, and supplies to support maintenance within a high-volume, fast-paced manufacturing environment. Duties include preparing kits for maintenance activities, coordination with shifts regarding min-max replenishment needs, and maintaining a high level of control over the parts inventory. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Other duties may be assigned. Reasonable accommodation for disabilities may be made for one or more of the following: Controls parts stores security and works within company guidelines to solve parts quality and inventory issues at the appropriate level on their shift Plans, initiates, and sustains 5S projects to ensure continuous improvement of parts store areas and processes Receives, stores, and issues spare and replacement parts, equipment, and expendable items used in repair or maintenance shop.Takes inventory of parts and equipment and maintains inventory records.May drive truck to pick up incoming stock or to pick up and deliver parts to units in other buildings using delivery carts or forklifts Monitors and corrects invoices if required and prepare all papers for delivery and issue all parts and tools for technicians. Evaluates work orders requiring parts and maintain information on usage and consumption using CMMS software. Issues tools and parts to workers and maintains records of tools and parts issued and returned. Liaises with receiving on lost or misplaced parts as needed. Performs cycle counts and stockroom inventory audits as needed Reconciles all necessary paperwork in the parts departmentImplements and adheres to all inventory control rules and regulations established. Generates part requisitions or assist supervisors in generating requisition forms.Supports finance department in audits and/or resolution for purchase orders generated from the maintenance parts crib. Fills parts request from Maintenance personnel & prepare work order parts for other shifts as needed.Builds kits of parts for commonly repeated Preventive Maintenance jobs. Delivers parts to maintenance shops located around the facility. Issues part numbers to new parts, creates a location, and records this data in the CMMS system.Determines marking system within guidelines, and marks and identifies tools and parts as needed. All employees are responsible for attending all training provided and for adhering to all HSE procedures, policies, and plans, conforming to reporting requirements, and safe operating procedures at all times.All employees are required to bring any known or suspected nonconformance for all company procedures or legal requirements to management’s attention immediately. Continually seeks opportunities to improve our HSE performance by establishing objectives and targets, measuring progress, and reporting our results. May assist and/or suggest waste elimination initiatives specifically related to the function and department such as production material recycle or removal opportunities. Performs additional duties as required.
