About The Position

Danfoss is hiring a MRO Category Manager at our Ames, IA facility. In this role, you will be responsible for leading sourcing and negotiation activities of all MRO Integrator suppliers into a reduced number of preferred suppliers. You will also implement optimization ideas, improve commercial conditions, and contribute to competitiveness.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Economics, Electrical, Mechanical & Process Engineering, or International Relations
• 8 years experience with negotiation, project management, and stakeholder management
• 2 years experience with procurement of MRO Integrators, Catalogs and Cutting Tools

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain category strategy (direction, goals, supplier strategy, execution plans)
• Negotiate contracts
• Manage supplier relationships
• Execute initiatives to ensure continuous improvements
• Manage key stakeholders
• Communicate strategies and prioritize daily
• Contact with a wide range of external suppliers
