About The Position

As an MRI Technologist, you will be joining a dedicated team of professionals who deliver quality, value, and access in the 21st century. You will perform high-quality MRI exams on incoming patients, assure patient safety by adhering to company policies and established protocols, and administer contrast as needed in a safe and effective manner. You will guide patients through the MRI process, respond to physician questions, and demonstrate competency in safeguarding patient property and health information.

Requirements

  • ARRT(MR) or ARMRIT certification.
  • State License in Diagnostic Radiologic Technology if applicable.
  • Must have BLS certification.
  • A venipuncture certificate may be required depending on state regulations.
  • At least one year of diagnostic imaging experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Perform high quality MRI exams on incoming patients.
  • Assure patient safety by adhering to company policies and established protocols.
  • Administer contrast as needed, in a safe and effective manner.
  • Understand and use TR, TE, flip angle, slice thickness, acquisitions, field of view and other adjustments and factors on the equipment to produce high quality images.
  • Guide patients through the MRI process by kindly talking them through the steps and answering their questions and concerns regarding exam procedures.
  • Respond to physician questions and needs regarding patients.
  • Demonstrate competency regarding the need to safeguard patient property and Patient Health Information.
  • Safeguard any on-site medications in accordance with company policies, procedures and legal requirements.
  • Demonstrate respect for company property, including cash and patient financial information on site or on patient portals.
  • Exhibit and maintain professional behavior toward patients and coworkers.
  • Demonstrate respect for patient boundaries and cultural sensitivities during all interactions.
  • Interact diplomatically and sympathetically with patients, their families, and the public in a clinical setting.
  • Establish, nurture, and maintain cooperative working relationships.
