About The Position

MRI Technologist - PRN Call Rotation Required Operate magnetic resonance imaging (MRI)/computed tomography (CT) equipment to obtain high-quality diagnostic images of patients for medical interpretation.

Requirements

• High School Diploma/GED
• ARRT registry in Radiography (R) required
• Must obtain ARRT registry in CT and/or MRI within one year of hire date
• Military training graduate of JRCERT-accredited program required can substitute for ARRT registration requirement
• Current license with Kentucky Board of Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy is required

Nice To Haves

• Experience working as a CT and/or MRI Technologist in a hospital or medical imaging facility preferred

Responsibilities

• Operate CT and MRI equipment to acquire high-quality diagnostic images of the body according to established protocols and physician orders.
• Perform basic image processing techniques such as windowing, reconstruction, and multiplanar reformatting to enhance visualization of anatomical structures and abnormalities.
• Assist radiologists and physicians in image interpretation.
• Position patients appropriately on the table and provide instructions for maintaining stillness during the examination to minimize motion artifacts.
