About The Position

This position is applicable for a MRI Tech 1 with less than two years of related work experience and MRI Tech 2 with two years or more of related work experience. Pennock Hospital offers a wide range of imaging services including Computerized Tomography (CT), Nuclear Medicine, Diagnostic Radiology, Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI), PET/CT, Mammography, and Ultrasound. The imaging team is a fundamental part of the care team, utilizing the latest imaging technology for patient diagnosis and treatment. The role involves providing healthcare services by applying pulsed radio-frequency waves and magnetic energy to assist in diagnosis or treatment. It includes performing magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) procedures, computer processing, and related techniques to produce images for interpretation by a licensed practitioner. The technologist is also responsible for providing appropriate patient care and recognizing patient conditions essential for successful completion of procedures. This role models comprehensive care, addressing physiological and socio-cultural needs of patients and their families, and acts as a resource to other MRI staff in managing complex issues.

Requirements

• Associate's Degree or equivalent years of experience in related field
• 2 years of relevant experience MRI experience Required
• CRT-Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologist (MRI) - ARRT American Registry of Radiologic Technologist Upon Hire required Or CRT-American Registry Of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists (MRI) - ARMRIT American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists Upon Hire required
• AHA or ARC Basic Life Support (BLS) within 90 days of hire

Responsibilities

• Provides health care services, applying pulsed radio-frequency waves and magnetic energy to assist diagnosis or treatment.
• Performs magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) procedures, computer processing and related techniques, producing images for the interpretation by or at the request of a licensed practitioner.
• Provides appropriate patient care and recognizes patient conditions essential for successful completion of the procedure.
• Role model for comprehensive care, addressing the physiological and socio-cultural needs of patients and their families.
• Acts as a resource to other MRI staff in managing complex issues.
• Assures equipment is present and accounted for at the beginning and end of each shift.
• Assists in and facilitates employee development.
