About The Position

Under the direction of the radiologist, this position provides MRI services to patients for diagnosis. The role involves closely following physician's instructions, appropriately positioning patients, preparing and operating equipment, and accurately recording the images requested. This is a part-time position with a schedule of 6 am to 6 pm, no set schedule, and on-call every 4th weekend at St. Anthony's Hospital in Effingham, IL. Requirements

  • Associates degree in allied health, applied/radiologic science or certificate program is required
  • Certification or registry eligible as a Registered Technologist in Radiography (R.T.(R)) or a Registered Technologist in Magnetic Resonance Imaging (R.T.(MR)) by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) OR Certification or registry eligible as a Registered Technologist by the American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists (ARMRIT)
  • Certification must be obtained within 6 months of hire/transfer
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) required

Nice To Haves

  • 1 year of Radiology Technology experience preferred
  • If certified through ARRT, Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MR) certification/registry is preferred
