About The Position

"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking a highly skilled MRI Technologist to perform advanced magnetic resonance imaging procedures while ensuring patient safety and delivering high-quality diagnostic imaging. This role requires strong technical expertise, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate effectively with physicians and healthcare staff in a fast-paced clinical environment.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program (AMA/JRCERT approved)
  • Strong knowledge of: Cross-sectional anatomy, MRI physics and physical sciences, Human anatomy and physiology
  • Excellent technical, analytical, and critical thinking skills
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced clinical setting
  • New York State License in Diagnostic Radiology
  • ARRT Certification in MRI
  • BCLS (Basic Cardiac Life Support) Certification

Nice To Haves

  • Minimum of 2 years of MRI experience

Responsibilities

  • Perform MRI procedures in accordance with established protocols
  • Position patients and MRI coils to ensure optimal image quality
  • Educate patients on procedures, expectations, and safety precautions
  • Review patient safety questionnaires prior to MRI suite entry
  • Ensure all imaging is accurately labeled and meets departmental standards
  • Evaluate image quality and transmit studies to PACS in a timely manner
  • Complete and document imaging studies in the Radiology Information System (RIS)
  • Maintain accurate patient tracking and scheduling records
  • Ensure cleanliness of MRI suite and equipment, including linen management
  • Stock and maintain supplies and accessories required for procedures
  • Manage and scan patient-related documentation
  • Identify and report equipment malfunctions or safety concerns
  • Assist physicians during procedures as needed
  • Coordinate patient transport and communicate with inpatient units
  • Perform clerical duties when support staff is unavailable
  • Strictly adhere to MRI safety protocols, including ferromagnetic safety practices
  • Follow infection control policies to ensure patient and staff safety
  • Participate in ongoing training, in-services, and professional development
  • Maintain all required certifications and licensure in good standing
  • Perform additional duties as assigned
