We are seeking an experienced MRI Technologist to join our team supporting the VA healthcare system. You'll use your expertise to provide high-quality diagnostic imaging services that directly impact patient care and treatment outcomes. This position offers the opportunity to work with advanced MRI equipment while contributing to the health and well-being of our nation's veterans.

Requirements

  • Successful completion of an accredited educational training program in which technologists are certified as Diagnostic Radiologic Technologists by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) with a certification in your specialty
  • Current certification in Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS)
  • Two (2) years' experience in the operation of diagnostic radiology equipment under the direction of a Radiologist or other medical officer to produce radiographic studies/images used in medical diagnosis and treatment
  • Must have worked within a hospital lab setting as an MRI Tech in the last six (6) months
  • Current professional liability insurance (evidence required)
  • Must be available to work for the VA at least six (6) months after starting date

Responsibilities

  • Operate MRI equipment to produce high-quality diagnostic images under the direction of radiologists and medical officers
  • Prepare patients for MRI procedures, explaining the process and ensuring their comfort and safety
  • Ensure all imaging protocols are followed precisely to produce optimal diagnostic results
  • Maintain and monitor MRI equipment to ensure proper functioning and safety compliance
  • Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, and healthcare teams to support accurate diagnoses
  • Document procedures and maintain accurate patient records
