About The Position

Shift: Monday-Friday 8am-4:30pm; weekday/weekend call rotation and holiday coverage. Position rotates to 3 campuses within the Des Moines area. To provide high quality Magnetic Resonance Imaging, at a technical level, so as not to require constant supervision. To assist the Radiologist in the performance of advanced procedures. Requirements

  • Graduation from an AMA approved School of Radiologic Technology.
  • ARRT Registered Radiology Technologist.
  • Maintain yearly CEU requirements.
  • Current Iowa Permit to Practice.
  • CPR certified.
  • Must be able to read, speak and write fluent English.

Nice To Haves

  • MRI experience, preferred.
  • ARRT MRI Board Certification, preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Serves as a liaison between the Radiology Department, students, hospital staff and physicians.
  • Educates and protects all customers entering the magnetic field.
  • Assists with sedating and monitoring of patients.
  • Assists in the educational training of the Student Radiologic Technologists.
