About The Position
A leading healthcare organization in the Houston, TX area is seeking a skilled MRI Technologist for a 13-week contract assignment. This role is responsible for performing high-quality Magnetic Resonance Imaging procedures to produce detailed three-dimensional images used by radiologists to detect abnormalities, support diagnoses, and guide patient treatment plans.
Requirements
- Prior MRI technologist experience required
- Strong knowledge of MRI safety, protocols, and patient care
Nice To Haves
- Experience with Philips MRI equipment preferred
- Experience with client-based imaging systems preferred
Responsibilities
- Perform MRI examinations in accordance with established protocols and safety standards
- Produce accurate, high-quality images of tissues, organs, and body structures
- Prepare patients for procedures, explaining exams and ensuring comfort and safety
- Screen patients for MRI contraindications and ensure compliance with MRI safety guidelines
- Operate MRI equipment and associated computer systems
- Collaborate with radiologists and healthcare team members to ensure optimal imaging results
- Maintain accurate documentation and follow departmental policies and procedures
