About The Position

"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking an experienced MRI Technologist to perform magnetic imaging procedures, operate specialized equipment, and provide exceptional patient care. The role requires technical expertise to produce high-quality diagnostic studies, ensure patient safety, and educate patients on procedures. Coverage may include vacation relief and weekend shifts.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an AMA/J.C.E.R.T. approved Radiologic Technology program.
  • NY State License in Diagnostic Radiology required.
  • A.R.R.T. MRI registry required.
  • BCLS Certification required.
  • Strong background in cross-sectional anatomy, physical sciences, and MRI physics.
  • Proficiency in MRI imaging and patient care.
  • Knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy and physiology.
  • Ability to maintain safety standards and follow infection control protocols.
  • Strong communication skills for patient education and team collaboration.

Nice To Haves

  • Minimum of 2 years of MRI experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Perform MRI imaging procedures following established protocols.
  • Position patients and MRI coils for optimal imaging results.
  • Educate patients on procedures, preparation, and safety.
  • Review patient safety questionnaires before scans.
  • Label, evaluate, and transmit MRI images to PACS accurately.
  • Maintain cleanliness of radiology rooms and equipment.
  • Manage MRI supplies and accessories.
  • Record patient tracking information and schedule exams in the Radiology Information System (RMS/IDX).
  • Report equipment issues or unsafe conditions to supervisors.
  • Assist physicians and coordinate in-patient scans as needed.
  • Adhere to infection control policies and MRI safety standards.
  • Attend in-services and professional development meetings.
  • Maintain licensure and certifications in compliance with state and regulatory guidelines.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
