As an MRI Technologist, you will perform routine MRI exams and procedures on patients of all ages, health backgrounds and conditions. You will ensure they feel comfortable, safe and properly informed throughout the entire process, helping facilitate a welcoming and supportive experience. In this role, you have access to a unique avenue in which to enhance your skills using the latest technologies and leave a positive lasting impression on patients every day. This is a regular PRN position, with caregivers working shifts varying between 12:00 a.m. – 12:00 a.m.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology or an accredited institution per the primary pathway of the ARRT
  • American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) Registration
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA)
  • Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) Technologist through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) within one year of hire
  • Knowledge of Federal and State regulatories

Nice To Haves

  • Two years of experience as an Imaging Technologist in an acute care imaging setting

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and validate the patient screening safety form.
  • Educate patients regarding MRI procedures while ensuring patients’ comfort and safety during and after the exam.
  • Maintain equipment and report any current or malfunctions with equipment immediately.
  • Collaborate with department leadership to develop and implement methods to achieve established goals and objectives for the department.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and economical operation.
  • Coordinate and answers questions regarding scheduling, networking, informatics, and patient information.
  • Complete and ensure that all electronic data is sent to its appropriate destination.
  • Inspect equipment to ensure proper orientation and contact service if necessary.
  • Provide copies of imaging studies in a timely manner.
  • Perform routine imaging, emergent, invasive, and all special procedures according to the policy/protocol manual and written orders.
  • Maintain adequate supplies in the work area with items necessary to perform the daily schedule.
  • Orient new personnel and assist in their transition to the work environment as assigned.
  • Aid other associates in the department upon completion of duties or as assigned by a supervisor.
