About The Position

A Day in the Life Support exceptional patient care by producing high-quality MRI images that directly shape accurate diagnoses and treatment plans. Perform MRI scans independently, operating imaging and ancillary equipment to deliver clear, high-quality diagnostic images. Position and prepare patients for procedures, ensuring comfort, safety, and compassionate care throughout the scanning process. Evaluate images for technical accuracy and diagnostic quality, adjusting techniques when needed to meet radiologist expectations. Administer IV contrast and oral medications safely while practicing strict MRI and aseptic safety protocols. Assist with departmental operations by supporting QA activities, managing supplies, identifying equipment issues, and helping train students and visitors.

Requirements

  • Must have passed or is eligible for the examination for the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in MRI. Continued employment is provisional and based on completion by the ARRT in MRI within six months.
  • OR Must have passed the examination for the American of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) and remain in good standing.
  • Maintains BLS certification with biannual renewal.
  • Munson Healthcare requires all employees be vaccinated or have lab confirmed immunity for Measles, Mumps, Rubella and Varicella.
  • MHC also requires all employees to receive a flu vaccine during the flu season in the year that they are hired and annually thereafter, or receive an approved medical or religious exemption.
