Requirements

  • Graduate of an ARRT approved school of Radiologic Technology, or completion of an accredited CNMT, ARMRIT or ARDMS program.
  • ARRT registry eligible technologist must obtain ARRT within 6 months of hire date.
  • MR registry must be acquired within 18 months of the date the primary registry was acquired. CNMT, ARDMS and ARMRIT graduates must obtain MR registry within 12 months of hire date.
  • ARRT registry eligible technologist must obtain ARRT within 6 months of hire date.
  • MR registry must be acquired within 18 months of the date the primary registry was acquired. CNMT, ARDMS and ARMRIT graduates must obtain MR registry within 12 months of hire date.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) OR Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) required.
  • CPR required based on AHA standards that include both a didactic and skills demonstration component within 30 days of hire.
  • ARRT Certificate OR American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologist (ARMRIT) OR Nuclear Medicine Technologist Certification (NMTC) OR Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (ARDMS)

Responsibilities

  • Perform high-quality MRI exams while maintaining clinical competency across all equipment and procedures
  • Review patient histories, physician orders, and apply appropriate protocols to achieve optimal imaging results
  • Prepare, administer, and label contrast materials according to department and safety guidelines
  • Accurately document patient information in the electronic health record
  • Communicate relevant clinical information to physicians prior to the exam
  • Ensure accurate coding, tracking, and image archiving within the RIS and ISITE systems
  • Uphold strict MR safety standards for patients, visitors, and staff
  • Perform weekly ACR Phantom testing to maintain high-quality imaging standards
