About The Position

POSITION SUMMARY: ​The MRI Technologist cares for patients while operating equipment to produce high quality images for radiologist interpretation. In addition the MRI Technologist is responsible for EMR/PACS navigation, general patient care, positioning patients, providing procedure information and executing proper imaging protocol/technique for all examinations. Complies with all regulatory requirements in providing safe and appropriate care. It is among fewer than 40 institutes in the country to offer proton therapy and only the second in Illinois. Requirements

  • High School Diploma/ GED
  • Graduate from accredited school of Radiologic Technology or MRI accredited program.
  • Must be ARRT eligible
  • BLS American Heart Association
  • ARRT (MR) Advanced certification in MRI or American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists (ARMRIT) one year after hire if not currently registered.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Solid computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft software.
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills, with the ability to be detail oriented.

Nice To Haves

  • 2 years radiography experience.
  • 1 year MRI experience.
  • American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)(R)) registered.
