About The Position

"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking a skilled MRI Technologist to join our diagnostic imaging team. This role involves performing high-quality magnetic resonance imaging procedures in an acute care setting. The MRI Technologist will ensure patient safety, accurate positioning, and efficient operation of advanced imaging equipment to support clinical diagnosis.

Requirements

• Associate’s degree in Radiologic Technology from an accredited program.
• Minimum of 1 year of MRI experience in an acute care or hospital setting, with hands-on experience using GE equipment.
• Valid NY State Radiologic Technologist license
• Current MRI certification/registration (ARRT or ARMRIT)
• Availability for a 2-week orientation (9:00 AM – 5:00 PM), including mandatory EPIC training.
• Proficiency in cross-sectional anatomy and MRI physics
• Ability to work independently during overnight hours
• Strong communication skills for interacting with diverse patients and staff
• Commitment to magnetic field and radiation safety standards

Nice To Haves

• American Heart Association (AHA) BLS Certification

Responsibilities

• Perform complex MRI scans according to established protocols, ensuring optimal image quality and patient comfort.
• Screen patients for contraindications, manage patient anxiety, and maintain safety within the magnetic environment.
• Operate GE MRI equipment and troubleshoot technical issues as needed.
• Accurately maintain patient records and scan parameters using an electronic health record system.
• Provide imaging support during overnight shifts, including urgent cases from the Emergency Department or inpatient units.
