About The Position

Henry Ford Hospitals are looking for MRI Technologists! We currently have full time, part time and PRN opportunities on all shifts. We are currently offering up to $7,500 sign-on bonus! We also offer competitive pay and a robust benefits package for part-time and full-time positions. Cross training opportunities are available for Nuclear Medicine Technologists who are interested in pursuing a career in MRI. Responsibilities of the MRI Tech include operating a scanner to obtain images used to diagnose and treat of pathologies. Responsibilities: Prepares and positions patients and selects anatomic and technical parameters accurately to produce cross-sectional images of the body.| Performs patient pre-screening, scheduling, and education related to the examination.| Enters and monitors patient data, transfers images from disk to magnetic media to produce the transparency, and develops film in an automatic processor.| Follows radiation safety procedures and guidelines.| Ensures prompt submission of high-quality of all images and documents sent to PACS (image quality, correct lead markers and patient data/history).| Ensures equipment is properly functioning. Reports potential problems or equipment malfunction to appropriate personnel.| Assists in maintaining a clean, and orderly department to include procedure rooms, storage areas, dressing rooms, film storage area and any other areas in department.

Requirements

  • High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
  • BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
  • One or more of the following required: - Radiologic Technologist specializing in Magnetic Resonance Imaging credentialed from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) obtained within 12 Months (1 year) of hire date or job transfer date. - Nuclear Medical Tech credentialed from the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. - Radiologic Technologist specializing in Radiography credentialed from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. - Medical Sonographer credentialed from the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) obtained within 12 Months (1 year) of hire date or job transfer date. - Technologist specializing in Magnetic Resonance Imaging credentialed from the American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists (ARMRIT) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
