This position provides direct patient care and may be required to access and administer medications within their scope of practice and according to state law. Requirements

  • Current RQI Healthcare Provider eCredential through the University of Utah Health RQI system. The eCredential is to be obtained within 30 days of hire.
  • One of the following Nuclear Medicine Technician Certification (CNMT) from the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB).
  • ARRT Registration as Nuclear Medicine Technology R.T. (N)(ARRT).
  • ARRT Registration as a Radiologic Technologist R.T. (R) (ARRT).
  • Depending upon department of hire, the employee may required to be ARRT (MR) or ARMRIT (MR) certified within six (6) months of hire.

Nice To Haves

  • Three (3) years of technical MRI experience.

Responsibilities

  • Scans patients according to protocols and parameters with knowledge of troubleshooting MRI systems.
  • Archives patient exams.
  • Confidently starts IV's.
  • Adapts to different MRI environments (1.5T MRI machines, 3T MRI machines, and MRI machines) in the operating rooms.
  • Functions in different patient monitoring systems throughout the organization.
  • Follows MRI safety guidelines according to organization policy.
