MRI Technologist - 36 hours, Evening Night Shift

Schedule: Monday - Wednesday 6:30pm - 3am, every Saturday 7am-7:30pm Position Summary: Under general supervision of the MRI Supervisor and under the direction of a Radiologist, can perform diagnostic MRI/MRA on pediatric, adult and geriatric patients on designated areas of the body as requested by a physician.
Requirements
- Education: Must be a graduate of an Accredited School of Radiologic Technology. Upholds standards set by the ARRT regarding diagnostic procedures and professional ethics.
- Licensure, Certification & Registration: American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT) or Bachelor of Science Degree in Advanced Level Certification in MRI Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of MRI experience in hospital or outpatient setting
- Must have excellent communication skills
- Must maintain a professional manner and appearance
- Must be able to work independently as well as in a team
- Must be self-motivated and have ability to work in a healthcare setting
- Must have basic computer skills
- Must have basic skills and knowledge necessary to perform venip
Responsibilities
- Utilizes all their technical skills and training to ensure the safe and accurate operation of the MRI scanner including the screening of all patients and visitors
- Evaluates MRI scans for technical quality under minimal supervision. Perform these duties using independent judgment and initiative
- Must project an image of professionalism in conduct, appearance, communication and team work. Participates in the continuous quality improvement process of the department.
- Participates in hospital wide compliance assessments
- Transports patients to and from the ED and patient floors, when needed, to maximize utilization
- Will be required to take call and rotate to both MRI sites
- Performs other related duties as required
- Maintain strict adherence to the Beverly Hospital confidentiality policy.

- Is accountable for identifying, actively contributing to, and implementing best practices and improvements including practicing proper hand hygiene
- Is accountable for cleaning equipment and rooms per Hospital, Radiology and regulatory policies and procedures
