Job Summary and Responsibilities THURSDAY/FRIDAY/SATURDAY 7A-7P Additional Weekend Incentive & Sign on bonus available As an MRI Technologist, you will be responsible for performing high-quality magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) examinations to assist in diagnosing medical conditions.Every day you will prepare patients for scans, operate advanced MRI equipment, ensure patient safety in the magnetic environment, and accurately capture detailed anatomical images.To be successful, you will demonstrate expert technical proficiency in MRI, meticulous attention to detail for image quality and safety, and excellent patient communication to ensure a comfortable and effective diagnostic experience.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited Radiology Program and 1-3 years 1 year of experience in MR, upon hire and
- Graduate of an accredited MRI Program, upon hire
- Registered Technologist Radiography ARRT, upon hire or
- Registered Technologist Magnetic Resonance Imaging, upon hire and
- Basic Life Support - CPR, upon hire
Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for scans
- Operate advanced MRI equipment
- Ensure patient safety in the magnetic environment
- Accurately capture detailed anatomical images
- Uses two patient identifiers
- Compares doctor’s order to requisition for accuracy
- Assesses patient for possible artifacts and takes appropriate action to prevent interference with image
- Routinely demonstrates the ability to prioritize workload.
- Coordinates multiple exams into the proper sequence to ensure no conflicts of exams.
- Assesses the doctor’s order and the patient’s diagnosis to determine optimal images.
