About The Position

"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented MRI Technologist for a 9-week contract assignment in New York, NY. The MRI Technologist will operate specialized MRI equipment to produce high-quality diagnostic images while ensuring patient safety and adherence to departmental and regulatory standards. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong technical expertise, a solid understanding of cross-sectional anatomy, and the ability to provide excellent patient care in a fast-paced clinical environment.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an AMA/JRCERT-approved Radiologic Technology program
  • Active New York State License in Diagnostic Radiology
  • ARRT (MRI) Certification
  • BCLS (Basic Cardiac Life Support) Certification
  • Strong knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy, physiology, MRI physics, and related sciences
  • Excellent technical proficiency and patient care skills
  • Ability to work efficiently in a high-volume clinical setting

Nice To Haves

  • Minimum of two (2) years of MRI experience

Responsibilities

  • Perform MRI procedures in accordance with established protocols
  • Position patients and coils accurately to obtain optimal diagnostic images
  • Educate patients about MRI procedures and provide clear instructions
  • Review and verify patient safety screening prior to MRI suite entry
  • Ensure all images are properly labeled per department standards
  • Evaluate image quality and transmit studies to PACS promptly
  • Complete and document studies in the Radiology Information System (RIS) accurately and timely
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of MRI equipment and exam rooms
  • Record accurate patient tracking and scheduling information
  • Notify supervisor of equipment malfunctions or safety concerns
  • Maintain strict MRI safety standards to prevent introduction of ferromagnetic materials
  • Adhere to infection control policies and safety guidelines
  • Assist physicians as required
  • Perform related clerical duties as needed
  • Maintain licensure and complete required continuing education and in-service training
