Requirements

High school diploma, GED or equivalent experience
Active WA state license or pending application
Current certification with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) and board certified or approved training alternatives as approved by the Washington State Department of health (WSDOH) (If not MRI certified, come join our team as a Rad Technologist and after 6-12 months we offer cross training opportunities)
Completion of a course in imaging technology approved by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or approved training alternatives as approved by the Washington State Department of health (WSDOH)

Responsibilities

Uses MRI scanner protocols based on needs of the individual patient and ordered examination
Screens patients prior to scan for any contraindications including implanted devices
Explains procedures and observes patients to ensure safety and comfort during scan
Starts IV’s and administers contrast agents
Evaluates images for technical quality
Maintains the cleanliness of the scanner and associated equipment in accordance with the infection control policies and procedures
MRI quality control, and documentation of necessary medical requirement
