Welcome to Saint Joseph East, a 217-bed, full-service, community hospital located in a convenient setting in Lexington, Kentucky. Saint Joseph East also includes the Women's Hospital at Saint Joseph East which is dedicated to supporting the well-being of women in Central and Eastern Kentucky and serves a 16-bed Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). As an MRI Technologist, you will be responsible for performing high-quality magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) examinations to assist in diagnosing medical conditions. Every day you will prepare patients for scans, operate advanced MRI equipment, ensure patient safety in the magnetic environment, and accurately capture detailed anatomical images. To be successful, you will demonstrate expert technical proficiency in MRI, meticulous attention to detail for image quality and safety, and excellent patient communication to ensure a comfortable and effective diagnostic experience.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology
• Medical Radiographer: KY, upon hire
• Registered Technologist Radiography ARRT, upon hire (or Registered Technologist Bone Densitometry, or Registered Technologist Computed Tomography, or Registered Technologist Cardio Interventional Radiography, or Registered Technologist Mammography, or Registered Technologist Nuclear Medicine Technology, or Registered Technologist Quality Management, or Registered Technologist Radiation Therapy, or Registered Technologist Vascualr Inteventional Rad, or Registered Technologist Vascular Sonography)
• Registered Technologist Magnetic Resonance Imaging, within 12 months
• Basic Life Support - CPR, upon hire

Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) examinations to assist in diagnosing medical conditions
• Prepare patients for scans
• Operate advanced MRI equipment
• Ensure patient safety in the magnetic environment
• Accurately capture detailed anatomical images
• Demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served
• Perform procedures to ensure quality patient care in accordance with Radiologist’s expectations and protocols
• Display knowledge and comply with the National Patient Safety goals
• Support and report any identified compliance matters
• Participate in hospital and department quality assurance programs to ensure safety and satisfaction
• Maintain professional development and education for technical competency
